What this role involves

About Re:Build

At Re:Build, our mission is to ensure the next generation of important products are made, at scale, in America. We are laying the foundation for a better future for our customers, employees, and communities by revitalizing America’s manufacturing base and creating meaningful jobs across the country, including in historically deindustrialized regions.

We operate an advanced, end-to-end manufacturing platform that partners with industrial companies and innovators to take products from first concept to full-scale production in critical verticals including aerospace and defense, electrification, medical, energy and environment, and robotics and automation.

The way we operate is as important as the work we do. It’s guided by The Re:Build Way, 16 principles that shape how we collaborate with each other, partner with our customers and vendors, and contribute to the communities where we operate. (link to The Re:Build Way principles )

Who we are looking for

The Director, Forward Deployed Engineering is a hands-on leadership role in Re:Build Manufacturing’s Digital Innovation Group (DIG). This role reflects the organization’s belief that digital innovation is key to scaling as a premier industrial company. In this position, the Director is responsible for hiring, leading, and developing a team of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) who are embedded across Re:Build sites and Resource Center functions, implementing full-stack digital solutions that solve real-world business problems and drive measurable business impact. Success in the role depends on the ability to build trust, ensure alignment, and partner effectively with internal stakeholders throughout the entire product lifecycle. The ideal candidate combines a strong software engineering background with proven experience managing software delivery and solution engineering that directly serves customers. They bring deep technical credibility, strong people leadership skills, and the judgment needed to keep engagements well prioritized and delivered quickly.

What you get to do

  • Partner with portfolio Manufacturing, Engineering Services, and Functional teams to identify difficulties, operational inefficiencies, and opportunities for digital solutions
  • Evaluate and prioritize digital solution opportunities based on business impact, feasibility, and strategic alignment
  • Guide FDEs through sophisticated technical decisions, feature development, fixing issues, code reviews, and delivery execution across collaborator engagement
  • Define and implement engineering standards and coding practices across FDE projects to ensure scalability, maintainability, and security of delivered solutions
  • Build the repeatable delivery machine of reusable assets, playbooks, user documentation, and implementation approaches that strengthen delivery excellence and collaborator enablement
  • Establish metrics to measure solution impact and value post-deployment and gather feedback for continuous improvement
  • Evaluate and foster the adoption of emerging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., code generation, review, testing automation) across the FDE team to accelerate delivery velocity and code quality
  • Know the latest digital trends in AI, software development, manufacturing, Industry 4.0 technologies, and relevant SaaS solutions
  • Ability to travel 25% to customer sites (will only require domestic US travel)

What you bring to the Team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required; MBA or relevant advanced degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

Come join us!

About the Role:

We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to define and lead the development of Enterprise Administration at AlphaSense, building the systems, workflows, and tooling that enable both internal teams and enterprise customers to configure, manage, and scale the platform efficiently.

This is a senior, high-impact individual contributor role within the Enterprise Intelligence product line. You’ll set direction for enterprise administration across the full customer lifecycle, from account setup and provisioning through ongoing management, growth, and renewal.

The scope spans internal AlphaSense operations (how we onboard and manage enterprise accounts) and customer-facing admin capabilities (how enterprise admins configure and manage their own users). Achieving this requires deep collaboration across a complex technical and operational ecosystem. In this role, you won’t lead a single team or product pillar. Instead, you’ll collaborate with business and technology leaders across the firm – including user management, revenue operations, broker research, expert insights, enterprise implementation, account management, go-to-market, and more — to define and deliver a unified, scalable experience for AlphaSense’s administrative users.

You’ll be the connective tissue across these teams, ensuring that every part of the technology stack that touches enterprise customers and internal admins works in concert. This role requires exceptional systems thinking, influence across senior stakeholders, and the drive to move complex, multi-team initiatives from strategy to execution.

Who You Are:

  • A senior product leader (10+ years of experience) with a track record of driving end-to-end, cross-functional transformation initiatives in enterprise SaaS.
  • Adept at navigating complex organizational structures and aligning senior stakeholders across product, engineering, operations, and go-to-market functions.
  • Skilled in mapping and redesigning end-to-end workflows, particularly those involving multiple systems, disparate teams, and complex edge cases.
  • Experienced in enterprise lifecycle management, internal tooling, or admin experience domains, ideally with exposure to provisioning, account configuration, and customer lifecycle systems.
  • Relentless in driving clarity, momentum, and execution amid competing priorities in a high-growth environment.
  • Equally comfortable in the details of a workflow diagram and in strategic discussions with executives about business impact and scale.
  • User- and outcome-obsessed, balancing operational realities with customer empowerment and experience quality.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the holistic vision and roadmap for enterprise administration across internal and customer-facing systems.
  • Map and optimize the enterprise customer lifecycle, from initial provisioning through renewal, ensuring tooling and workflows for both AlphaSense users and client admins support scalability and efficiency at every stage.
  • Orchestrate alignment across multiple technology and operational teams to ensure cohesive end-to-end execution.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and executives to drive investment and prioritization for cross-functional initiatives.
  • Measure success through improved onboarding efficiency, reduced operational overhead, and enhanced enterprise customer autonomy and satisfaction.

For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed below.

You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.

What this role involves

Description

Vice President – Direct Originations

Location: Remote

Industry: Equipment Finance and Leasing

Position Overview

Altius Search Group is recruiting an experienced equipment finance originator on behalf of a well-established and growing equipment finance company.

The Vice President – Direct Originations will be responsible for developing new equipment finance relationships directly with middle-market and larger commercial businesses. The successful candidate will identify capital equipment requirements, develop relationships with senior financial decision-makers, and structure financing solutions that support each client’s operational and strategic objectives.

This is a true new-business-development role for an established originator who can independently build a pipeline, open new relationships, and manage opportunities from initial prospecting through credit approval, documentation, and funding.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop new equipment finance business directly with middle-market, large corporate, private equity-sponsored, and other commercial clients.

  • Build and manage an active pipeline through targeted prospecting, referrals, existing industry relationships, and strategic business-development initiatives.

  • Establish relationships with CFOs, treasurers, controllers, procurement leaders, operating executives, private equity sponsors, and other senior decision-makers.

  • Identify upcoming capital expenditures, technology investments, facility expansions, automation projects, and equipment replacement requirements.

  • Structure equipment loans, leases, and customized financing solutions based on each client’s financial objectives and operational needs.

  • Prepare and present financing proposals that clearly communicate the proposed structure, pricing, and overall value to the client.

  • Work closely with credit, operations, documentation, asset management, and senior leadership to move transactions efficiently from the initial opportunity through funding.

  • Gather the financial, operational, and transaction information required to develop complete and compelling credit presentations.

  • Maintain ownership of the client relationship throughout the transaction process and provide consistent communication to all stakeholders.

  • Expand existing relationships by identifying additional equipment categories, locations, business units, and financing requirements.

  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, production forecasts, calling activity, and account-development plans.

  • Represent the company professionally at client meetings, industry events, conferences, and other business-development activities.

Target Markets

The originator will have the flexibility to pursue opportunities across a variety of equipment-intensive industries, potentially including:

  • Manufacturing and industrial equipment

  • Technology and information systems

  • Data centers and AI infrastructure

  • Distribution and warehouse automation

  • Healthcare and patient-care technology

  • Construction and commercial equipment

  • Education

  • Transportation

  • Private equity-sponsored portfolio companies

Requirements

Candidate Qualifications

  • Established experience originating equipment finance transactions directly with commercial end users.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently generate new business and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.

  • Existing relationships with middle-market companies, larger corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors, or senior financial decision-makers.

  • Proven record of producing meaningful annual equipment finance volume.

  • Strong understanding of equipment loans, finance leases, tax leases, and other commercial financing structures.

  • Ability to evaluate financial statements and understand cash flow, leverage, liquidity, collateral, and the business purpose behind a transaction.

  • Experience structuring and presenting transactions to credit and senior management.

  • Ability to sell consultatively and communicate value beyond pricing alone.

  • Strong executive presence, communication skills, judgment, and follow-through.

  • Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, collaborative, and growth-oriented environment.

  • Willingness to travel as necessary for client development and relationship management.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be an experienced direct originator with a portable network of commercial relationships and a history of generating consistent equipment finance production.

The individual should be entrepreneurial and self-directed while also working effectively with internal credit, documentation, and operational partners. Candidates should understand how to develop business directly with middle-market and larger companies rather than relying primarily on broker, vendor, or bank-referral channels.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Join a growing independent equipment finance company with experienced industry leadership.

  • Ability to originate across multiple industries and equipment categories.

  • Flexible underwriting and the ability to evaluate complex business models and transactions.

  • Responsive credit decisions and an efficient transaction process.

  • Opportunity to develop direct relationships with middle-market and larger commercial clients.

  • Entrepreneurial environment with access to senior leadership.

  • Competitive compensation structure with meaningful performance-based earning potential.

Compensation

The company offers a competitive compensation package consisting of a base salary, performance-based incentive compensation, and comprehensive employee benefits. Specific compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, relationships, historical production, and anticipated contribution.

About Altius Search Group

Altius Search Group specializes in executive recruiting within the equipment finance, commercial lending, and leasing industries. All inquiries will be handled confidentially.

Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply or contact Altius Search Group for additional information.

About the job

Cosmic AC is Tether Data’s GPU compute and managed inference platform: GPU containers, managed inference endpoints and platform observability, delivered as a self-hosted package on Kubernetes, with a control plane written in JavaScript. The platform is expanding from orchestrating workloads on a managed cluster to owning the full stack on bare-metal GPU infrastructure: a managed Slurm scheduling layer for internal research and model-training teams first, and our own Kubernetes control plane for inference tenancy after that.

The Technical Lead owns the architecture and delivery of that stack and leads the engineering team building it: about twelve engineers across backend, frontend, DevOps, QA and documentation, distributed across Europe and India. The role reports to the Senior Technical Product Manager for Cosmic AC, who owns scope, sequencing and partner commitments; the Technical Lead owns architecture, implementation and delivery plans, line-manages the engineers, and is the primary technical interface to our infrastructure partners.

This is a hands-on infrastructure leadership role with a fixed delivery window in its first six months. It is not a research role, not a pure Kubernetes SRE role, and not a management-only role.

Responsibilities

Architecture. Own the platform architecture end to end: architecture proposals, high-level and low-level designs, driven through review and kept current as the baseline.

Team leadership. Lead and line-manage a distributed team across backend (Node.js), frontend (React), DevOps, QA and documentation: engineering standards, code and design review, release gates, one-to-ones, growth and performance input.

Bare-metal GPU scheduling layer. Design, build and operate a managed Slurm service for research users: controller and accounting, partitions and login nodes, node onboarding and acceptance, driver and CUDA baseline and upgrades, stalled-job and node-health detection, drain and autohealing, storage visibility, identity and isolation.

Kubernetes control plane and GPU enablement. Own cluster bootstrap and lifecycle on partner-provided bare metal, NVIDIA GPU Operator and Network Operator, VM-based GPU isolation (KubeVirt and VFIO), and day-2 operations: upgrades, backup and recovery, node replacement.

Managed inference at scale. Serving architecture, multi-GPU and multi-node parallelism, autoscaling, request routing and endpoint reliability; confidential-compute-capable capacity for sensitive workloads.

Observability and operations. Metrics, logging, alerting and SLOs across control plane, GPU fleet and application tiers; incident response and post-incident review; an on-call model a small team can sustain.

Partners and vendors. Primary technical interface to infrastructure partners and vendors: turning requirements into written specifications and acceptance tests, running escalations to closure, and providing technical input to capacity planning and hardware sourcing.

Internal consumers. Work directly with research, model-training and product teams to translate their workloads into platform requirements, and broker capacity when it is short.

Hiring. Complete the platform team and set the technical bar for the engineers who join it.

Requirements

Must have

  • Experience. Eight or more years of hands-on engineering, including at least three leading teams that build and operate infrastructure platforms other teams depend on. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Slurm at scale, hands on. Has run slurmctld and slurmdbd for real users: partitions, QoS and priority, accounting, prolog and epilog, node health scripting, upgrades with jobs on the system. Ideally has operated an HPC or GPU training cluster for a research population.

  • GPU fleet operation on bare metal. NVIDIA driver and CUDA lifecycle, Fabric Manager and NVSwitch behaviour on SXM systems, DCGM-based health and utilisation, MIG, node burn-in and acceptance.

  • High-performance interconnects. InfiniBand fabric and subnet configuration, RDMA, SR-IOV, and diagnosing multi-node NCCL performance problems.

  • Linux systems depth. Kernel modules and drivers, PCIe passthrough and vfio-pci, cgroups and namespaces, performance tuning for compute-heavy workloads.

  • Production Kubernetes operation, not just deployment: control plane, upgrades, CNI and CSI, operators and custom controllers, multi-tenancy design.

  • HPC storage and data movement. Shared filesystems (VAST, Lustre, NFS), node-local NVMe caching, distributing large model weights and datasets across many nodes.

  • Observability and operations. Prometheus, Grafana and Loki or equivalents, SLOs, incident response and post-incident review.

  • Working fluency in JavaScript and Node.js sufficient to review a control plane, CLI and worker services with authority and to make architecture decisions on them. Not a feature-development requirement.

  • A shipped platform with real users. A multi-tenant IaaS or PaaS, or a research computing service: resource isolation, quotas, usage metering, and user-facing API and CLI surfaces.

  • Leadership that stays in the code. People management across time zones, cross-track review, written architecture decisions with alternatives recorded, and the ability to tell a partner or an executive no with reasons.

  • Excellent written and spoken English. Most partner and leadership work happens in writing.

  • Location. Fully remote, based between UTC and UTC+5:30 so the working day overlaps both Europe and India, where the team and its partners work. Occasional travel to partner sites and team events.

Desirable

  • Slurm operators on Kubernetes (Soperator, Slinky) or Kubernetes-native schedulers (Kueue, Volcano, KAI, Kubeflow Trainer).

  • Modern serving stacks (vLLM, SGLang, TensorRT-LLM): parallelism strategies, quantisation trade-offs, GPU memory planning.

  • VM and container isolation for multi-tenant GPU compute (KubeVirt, Kata Containers, QEMU and KVM, Firecracker); confidential computing (Intel TDX, AMD SEV-SNP, NVIDIA confidential-compute mode).

  • Cluster API and kubeadm, Cilium, NVSentinel-class autohealing, infrastructure as code and GitOps.

  • Time on the operator side of a GPU cloud, a national or university HPC centre, or an AI lab’s platform team.

  • Peer-to-peer or distributed-systems background.

  • Experience with a hardware provider who provisions but does not operate, and turning that relationship into a written contract with acceptance tests.

Location:

We have offices in New York, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, and Gurgaon. This position will be based in the Gurgaon, India and can work remotely within India.

About the role:

TMB is looking for a Director of Data Science & AI to lead the team and efforts to turn data into decisions, deliver scalable intelligence that drives personalized experiences and business outcomes, and lean into AI and Automation where it makes sense. You understand how business users think, what friction looks like in real workflows, and how to communicate technical solutions in ways that land with non-technical users.

Your primary mission is to bridge the gap between what’s technically possible and what’s practically useful. This is a hands-on leadership role: you’ll set the technical direction, but you’ll also be in the data, in the model reviews, and building alongside your team when it counts.  We need someone fluent in Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Vertex AI, and broader GCP ecosystem), has strong data science capabilities and the grit to take ideas from research to production.

You are a fast learner who is comfortable in ambiguity, energized by solutioning, and motivated by seeing your work drive real adoption across the organization. You’ll spend your time championing smarter ways of working and helping both technical and non-technical teammates integrate AI into their everyday work, not as a disruption, but as a natural extension of how they already operate.

Your day-day: (aka Responsibilities)

  • Own the data science roadmap for the organization from core statistical modeling and experimentation forecasting, segmentation and applied AI where it adds real business value
  • Lead, mentor, and stay hands-on with a small team of data scientists: writing code and reviewing methodology, not just roadmaps
  • Oversee the design of robust, production-grade solutions utilizing core cloud systems, vector databases, and agentic workflows
  • Champion the adoption and continuous improvement of AI development tools across technical teams
  • Scale MLOps/LLMOPs practices, ensuring data observability, governance, model safety, and ethical AI compliance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Development, and Product teams to drive technical innovation, prioritize initiatives, ship MVPs fast and iterate based on usage data
  • Design and run rigorous experiments to validate hypotheses and guide business decisions
  • Translate statistical and technical work into business language for executive stakeholders and make the case for where data science investment should go next
  • Define success metrics for internal tools and AI initiatives, and track adoption, usage, and business impact over time
  • Document tools, workflows, and best practices to scale impact beyond individual engagements
  • Stay informed on industry trends, viral content, and emerging platforms to identify new opportunities

You have: (aka Qualifications)

  • 7+ years in data science, including leading or managing a technical team
  • Strong foundation in core data science
  • Deep, hands-on fluency in Google Cloud Platform: BigQuery, Vertex AI, and building/deploying production models in a GCP environment
  • Proficiency deploying custom Gemini Enterprise Agents via Agent Engine
  • Fluency in AI tools such as Claude, CoPilot and ChatGPT
  • Strong Python and SQL skills and experience in applied AI
  • A bias for action

About this team:

The Data Science team is a small but mighty group sitting at the center of the organization. We’re a centralized team, which means we work across nearly every department: from Marketing and Creative to BI, Engineering, Product, and beyond. If there’s a workflow to improve, a tool to build, or a data problem worth solving, chances are we’re involved.

Our work is practical by design. We build internal tools and data products that make real work easier, not to chase trends, but because the right solution at the right moment can meaningfully change how an entire team operates. We use AI where it genuinely helps, and we’re skeptical of hype for its own sake. That pragmatic instinct is part of what makes us effective.

As a team, we move fast and stay scrappy. We’re not a big org with lengthy approval chains. We prototype, iterate, and ship. We collaborate constantly, both within the team and across the business, and we’re at our best when we’re working alongside stakeholders to understand their problems firsthand rather than solving in a vacuum.

If you’re joining us, you’re joining a team that values curiosity, initiative, and craft. Our team genuinely believes the most impactful data work happens when technical depth meets real business context.

Our Benefits:

We value our people and offer a collaborative and engaging culture. As a Trusted Media Brands employee, you will enjoy work/life balance, generous time off and comprehensive benefits and programs. Learn more about what life is like working at Trusted Media Brands at https://www.trustedmediabrands.com/careers/.

Product Staff Product Manager – Digital Assets at Nium

Staff Product Manager owns the strategy and execution of digital asset products including stablecoin wallets, crypto-funded cards, and fiat-to-digital conversion flows.

Lead Posted about 12 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Nium provides global infrastructure for real-time cross-border payments. We were founded on the mission to deliver the global payments infrastructure of tomorrow, today. Our platform enables banks, fintechs, and global businesses to move money instantly, everywhere.

Co-headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore with offices in 14 markets worldwide, we are entering one of the most exciting chapters in our journey. In March 2026, we delivered the largest month in our 11-year history with record revenue, record volumes, and EBITDA profitability. Today, Nium moves nearly $60B in payments annually, almost entirely for enterprises, while continuing to strengthen an already healthy balance sheet.

It is an incredible time to join us, and we are only just getting started.

Our payout network spans 190+ countries and 100 currencies, with 100 + corridors in real time. We power seamless transfers to accounts, wallets, and cards, support local collections in 35 markets, and as a principal card issuer on Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and UATP, Nium issues over 50 million card tokens every year. Backed by regulatory licenses in 40+ markets, we make it simple for our partners to onboard, integrate, and scale globally. This scale and innovation have earned us recognition as one of CNBC’s World’s Top Fintech Companies 2025, winner of Best Cross-Border Payments Solution at the PayTech Awards, and inclusion in FXC Intelligence’s Top 100 Cross-Border Payments Companies list.

In 2024, we raised US$50 million in Series E funding at a US$1.4 billion valuation to accelerate network expansion, product innovation, and talent growth. With the B2B payments market projected to hit US$175 trillion by 2030, Nium offers ambitious builders the chance to shape the future of global money movement with the scale of a leader and the energy of a high-growth company.

About the Role

Nium moves billions in payments every month for some of the world’s most demanding companies — banks, fintechs, and enterprise platforms operating across 100+ countries. We built that on fiat rails. The next layer is digital currency: stablecoins, on/off-ramps, and card products that let customers spend, settle, and move value in USDC as naturally as they do in dollars or euros.

We’re hiring a Staff PM – Digital Assets to own that build. Not the strategy document — the actual product. If you’ve shipped a stablecoin wallet, a crypto-funded card, or a fiat-to-digital conversion flow and you understand what it takes to get that through compliance, engineering, and go-live in a regulated environment, this is your rol

Responsibilities

  • Own stablecoin-funded card products — physical and virtual cards funded from or settled in stablecoins (USDC and equivalents). Define the product, get it through compliance, ship it.
  • Build digital asset support into Nium’s multi-currency wallet — hold, convert, and send stablecoins alongside fiat currencies. This is a wallet extension, not a new product line.
  • Design and ship on/off-ramp flows — fiat-to-digital and digital-to-fiat conversion, including rate logic, settlement timing, and failure handling. Own the full customer experience.
  • Drive stablecoin-based cross-border settlement — payin and payout flows that clear on digital rails. Work with network and settlement teams to make these production-grade.
  • Evaluate and integrate custodians, exchanges, and blockchain infrastructure — as infrastructure decisions with integration timelines and SLAs, not as partnership strategy.
  • Own compliance product design for digital assets — MiCA, VASP frameworks, travel rule, FinCEN requirements. These get built into the product spec, not handed off to legal.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in product management. Fintech, crypto infrastructure, or payments required.
  • You’ve shipped at least one digital asset product in production — a stablecoin wallet, a crypto card, an on/off-ramp, or a digital settlement rail. Not a prototype. Not a strategy deck.
  • Strong payments foundation — cross-border flows, FX, wallets, settlement mechanics. Digital assets are an extension of this, not a departure from it.
  • Regulatory fluency as a product skill — you know what MiCA, travel rule, VASP registration, and FinCEN MSB requirements mean for your spec, your launch sequence, and your go/no-go decisions.
  • Experience working with custodians, blockchain infrastructure, or card networks — enough to evaluate integration tradeoffs and write requirements that engineering can build against.
  • Comfortable operating in high-ambiguity, high-compliance environments — you know when to move and when to wait for legal sign-off.

How We’ll Measure Success

  • Volume settled on digital rails (stablecoin payins + payouts) — tracked quarterly against target
  • Card activation rate and spend volume for stablecoin-funded card products
  • On/off-ramp conversion rate and time-to-settlement
  • Time-to-integration for new custodian or blockchain network partners
  • Regulatory coverage: number of markets with compliant, live digital asset product

What we offer at Nium

We Value Performance: Through competitive salaries, performance bonuses, sales commissions, equity for specific roles and recognition programs, we ensure that all our employees are well rewarded and incentivized for their hard work.

We Care for Our Employees: The wellness of Nium’ers is our #1 priority. We offer medical coverage along with 24⁄7 employee assistance program, generous vacation programs including our year-end shut down. We also provide a flexible working hybrid working environment (3 days per week in the office).

We Upskill Ourselves: We are curious, and always want to learn more with a focus on upskilling ourselves. We provide role-specific training, internal workshops, and a learning stipend.

We Celebrate Together: We recognize that work is also about creating great relationships with each other. We celebrate together with company-wide social events, team bonding activities, happy hours, team offsites, and much more!

We Thrive with Diversity: Nium is truly a global company, with more than 33 nationalities, based in 18+ countries and more than 10 office locations. As an equal opportunity employer, we are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

Beware of recruitment scams: Be cautious of individuals impersonating Nium via WhatsApp, social media, email or unofficial websites. Do not respond, share personal or financial information, or make any payments. Nium will never ask candidates to transfer money or cryptocurrency as part of our recruitment process.

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. We have onsite locations in: Sioux Falls, SD,  Scottsdale, AZ,  Louisville, KY,  Troy, MI,  Franklin, TN,  Easton, PA.

At Pathward, we take tremendous pride in our purpose to create financial inclusion for all™. We are a financial empowerment company that works with innovators to increase financial availability, choice, and opportunity for all.  We strive to remove barriers that traditional institutions put in the way of financial access, and promote economic mobility by providing responsible, secure, high quality financial products.

We are a team of problem solvers and innovators who celebrate our differences and know that our unique perspectives make us stronger and well-positioned for success.  We celebrate, and embrace, our team members through our *HUMBLE*HUNGRY*SMART approach, and we believe that we are strongest when we embrace the voices of our employees, customers, partners, and the communities we serve.

About the Role:

The Manager, Complex Investigations Unit leads a team of investigators responsible for the review, investigation, and resolution of complex and high-risk financial crime matters across AML, Sanctions, and Fraud domains. The role bridges investigative execution and program ownership: the Manager applies the escalation, quality, and documentation frameworks established by the VP, Complex Investigations, and ensures those standards are executed consistently by the Analysts performing the casework. The Manager serves as the day-to-day escalation point for multi-account, multi-entity, and cross-product matters, reviews and challenges SAR decisioning and narratives before final disposition, manages workload assignment and capacity, and develops investigator capability through coaching, calibration, and targeted training. The Manager is accountable for the quality, timeliness, and defensibility of the unit’s investigative outputs under OCC, FinCEN, and internal program standards, and escalates novel typologies, systemic issues, and emerging risks to the VP, Complex Investigations.

What You Will Do:

  • Complex Investigations & Escalation Management

    • Manage the intake, assignment, and resolution of complex and high-risk investigations across products and customer types, including multi-account, multi-entity, and cross-product matters.
    • Serve as the day-to-day escalation point for urgent or high-severity matters, elevating to the VP, Complex Investigations where senior leadership awareness or immediate action is required.
    • Apply and enforce established escalation and routing criteria, including handling of repeat SAR subjects, continuing activity, and examiner-, audit-, or enforcement-referred matters.
    • Ensure appropriate identification of subjects, activity scope, and risk exposure across the unit’s caseload.
    • Identify emerging typologies, thematic issues, and potential control gaps surfaced through casework and escalate with supporting analysis and recommendations.

People Leadership & Team Management

  • Directly manage a team of Complex Investigations Analysts; assign work, manage capacity and coverage, and balance inventory against aging and regulatory timeliness requirements.
  • Partner with People & Culture on hiring and staffing for the unit, including requisitions, interviews, and selection.
  • Set performance expectations, conduct 1:1s and performance reviews, and deliver coaching and development plans; address performance issues with timely documentation and escalation.
  • Build team capability through structured onboarding, ongoing coaching, and targeted training on typologies, investigative methods, and narrative quality.
  • Promote a strong control culture, accountability, and adherence to procedures, desktop procedures, and checklists.

Investigative Oversight, SAR Quality & Documentation

  • Review and challenge investigative analyses, conclusions, and SAR/no-SAR determinations to confirm they are sound, defensible, and fully documented.
  • Ensure SAR narratives, Continuing Activity Reports (CARs), and decisioning meet regulatory expectations and withstand examiner, audit, and law enforcement scrutiny.
  • Confirm investigative documentation meets the five-element documentation baseline and internal quality standards prior to filing or closure.
  • Oversee the unit’s response to QC/QA feedback; drive remediation of identified defects and calibrate standards across analysts to reduce repeat findings.
  • Support 314(a)/314(b), OFAC, and PEP-related investigative activity assigned to the unit.

Program Execution, Governance & Reporting

  • Execute the investigative standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks owned by the VP, Complex Investigations, and provide feedback to strengthen them.
  • Monitor and report unit-level metrics, including inventory, aging, timeliness, SAR volumes, and quality results, to BSA/AML leadership.
  • Support root cause analysis and remediation activities tied to investigations, escalations, audit findings, and MRAs.
  • Maintain examiner-ready case artifacts and contribute to procedure, desktop procedure, and checklist updates as processes evolve.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Regulatory Support

  • Partner with Sanctions Operations, Fraud Operations, Compliance Advisory, Legal, and Technology on cross-domain and sensitive high-risk matters.
  • Support regulatory examinations, internal audit, and model/program validation efforts by preparing case artifacts and coordinating responses to information requests. Provide investigative support and coaching to product-aligned SAM, Fraud, and Sanctions teams to drive consistency across the enterprise.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Criminal Justice, Accounting, Business, or related field).
  • CAMS or equivalent AML certification strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of BSA/AML, Sanctions, or Fraud investigations experience, including SAR decisioning and filing.
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience, including coaching, performance management, and talent development.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, high-risk typologies and multi-account or multi-entity investigations.
  • Working knowledge of transaction monitoring systems (e.g., Actimize, FCRM) and watchlist/screening tools (e.g., Bridger).
  • Demonstrated success defending investigative decisions in audit, exam, or regulatory settings.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, including the ability to review and elevate SAR narrative quality and to present results to senior leadership.

Products & Services Knowledge

SAR narratives and investigative conclusions must accurately describe how funds move through each Pathward product, and the unit reviews activity across the full estate. The Manager must hold product-level knowledge of the funds flows, typologies, and party designations across the Bank’s seven product categories and its program-manager model, including:

  • Card Issuing / Prepaid — GPR, payroll, corporate disbursement, gift, government-benefit and student cards, and the load/spend typologies (structuring, funnel accounts, bust-out) that drive SAR narratives.
  • Tax Products (EPS Financial / Refund Advantage) — refund transfers, taxpayer advances (including Emerald AdvanceÂŽ), and tax-office loans, and the IRS/ERO funds flows behind seasonal SAR/CTR volume.
  • Acquiring (Merchant & ATM) — merchant/ISO/payment-facilitator activity, transaction laundering, and ATM cash-access typologies.
  • Digital Payments & Faster Payments (Visa Direct / Mastercard Send) — push/pull disbursements, P2P, and cross-border rails.
  • Consumer Lending, Commercial Finance, and Commercial Deposits — the CTR, continuing-activity, and 314(a) obligations Pathward retains as lender/bank of record and depository institution.

The Bank-vs-Program-Manager framework — Pathward files all SARs, CTRs, and 314(a) responses, so the Manager and their team must trace activity back through the program-manager escalation model.

The responsibilities listed above are not all inclusive and may be changed at any time.

Salary range:  $72,000 – $120,000

The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary for your location during the hiring process. Ranges may be modified in the future.

This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based incentive opportunity.  Pathward offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees, including health insurance, 401(k) retirement benefits, life insurance, disability benefits, paid time off, and more.

What this role involves

🏆 What’s the opportunity?

Air freight carries less than 1% of world trade by volume and more than a third of it by value, around $22.7 billion of goods every single day. It’s how a vaccine reaches a clinic before it spoils, how a semiconductor arrives before the production line stops, and how a retailer restocks a continent away in three days instead of five weeks. When speed is the whole point, freight flies.

Somebody has to price it, book it and move it, and that work is still done largely by hand, in inboxes and spreadsheets.

For eight years we’ve been building the data infrastructure underneath it: direct integrations with 75 airlines, the top ten ocean carriers and dozens of GSAs, used every day by 30,000 freight forwarders across 172 countries to hold their rates, price their business and book their freight.

In 2026 we acquired Cargofive, and cargo.one now spans air and ocean, the two modes that carry international trade. That foundation is what makes the next part possible.

In March 2026 we launched the industry’s first AI-native operating system for multimodal freight:one workspace where freight teams and AI agents work side by side across rate management, procurement, quoting, booking and support. Crane Worldwide and Yusen Logistics are rolling it out across their global operations.

AI-led engineering is how we build. Engineers write specs and acceptance criteria, agents do much of the implementation, and the engineer owns the architecture, the review and what ships.

We’re backed by Index Ventures, Bessemer, Creandum, Point Nine, Next47 and Lufthansa Cargo, which has been an investor in us since 2018.

🚀 What makes this role different

This is an engineering management job for a team where agents do much of the implementation. That changes the job.

When producing code gets cheaper and faster, the bottleneck moves. Throughput depends more on how well engineers define the problem, direct the agents, review what comes back and tell a plausible answer from a correct one.

You’ll lead our engineers: what they ship, how good it is, how fast they move, whether the people are growing, and how quickly the team gets better at working AI-led. A lot of what engineering managers know about pacing, estimating, reviewing and measuring a team was calibrated for a different bottleneck. Working out what good looks like now is part of this job.

Today, engineers direct agents on their own work. That’s where we are, but it’s not the end state. We’re building toward fleets of agents that work on their own inside guardrails and harnesses we design, while engineers move up to setting direction, reviewing what comes back, and owning what ships. Part of your job is helping the team get there while keeping the quality bar high .

This is also a player-coach role. You’ll stay close enough to the code to keep your judgment sharp and your technical credibility current, while the engineers you lead and what they deliver remain the focus.

🧭 What we’re looking for — the part that isn’t negotiable

You get more from growing people than from being the smartest person in the room. You’ve watched someone you managed become better than you at something and enjoyed it. You run real one-to-ones, not status meetings. You give hard feedback early and kindly, and you’ve done the hard version more than once.

You think in systems. Teams are systems too. You can see why delivery is slipping without needing someone to tell you, and you fix the process rather than working harder inside a broken one.

You’re excited about the business. You want to know what your engineers’ work is worth and what it does for the customer paying us. You can explain that to them so their work has a point beyond the issue they’re closing.

You work at eye level with Product. You co-own what gets built and when, push back on the brief, and don’t treat “Product decides, Engineering delivers” as a healthy way to work.

You want to be in the room with customers. Freight forwarders and airlines, directly. You’d rather hear the problem first-hand, and you take your engineers with you.

English is your working language, at close to native fluency. You write and speak it the way you think in it. Almost everything a manager does in a remote-first company is language: the feedback that has to land precisely, the written decision that stops a debate, the difficult conversation where the wrong word costs you trust.

You’ll also need:

  • Experience managing engineers: hiring them, growing them, running performance honestly and shipping on a predictable cadence.

  • A backend engineering background, strong architecture instincts and enough technical currency that your engineers respect your technical opinion.

  • A delivery track record. Specific things that shipped, on a schedule you can describe, and an honest account of what slipped and why.

  • Experience building a team, not only running one. You know how to assess for potential, close a candidate and set someone up so their first ninety days work.

  • Genuine engagement with AI-led engineering. You don’t need to be an expert, but you can’t manage engineers working this way from the outside. You need to use the tools yourself and want to get good at them.

  • Judgment, and the nerve to use it. You’ll make calls with incomplete information and own them out loud.

  • Low ego. You take feedback from your own engineers and change your mind in public.

Nice to have: experience with our stack of Python 3, Flask, gRPC, PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery and Kubernetes on GCP; Vue.js; managing a distributed team across several countries; or introducing a new way of working to a team that didn’t ask for one.

🎬 A snapshot of what you’ll be doing

  • Own delivery. What ships, how good it is and whether the commitments you make hold.

  • Grow the people. One-to-ones that are worth the hour, honest performance conversations, career paths that mean something, and knowing what each person wants next.

  • Hire. You’ll own the hiring bar and run your own loops. We hire senior engineers on judgement and character rather than AI experience, and teach them the workflow. You’ll be central to making that work.

  • Partner with Product as an equal. Shape the roadmap, negotiate scope and protect engineers from churn that isn’t worth it.

  • Raise the team’s AI capability. Help engineers use agents better today, spread what works, remove friction, and help evolve our setup toward autonomous agent fleets with the right guardrails and harnesses in place.

  • Stay technical, roughly a day a week. Reviews, a well-chosen piece of work, enough to keep your hands and judgement in.

  • Go to the users. Sit with freight forwarders and airlines, and take your engineers with you.

🤖 What you’d be working with

We’re honest about where we are: Everything below is real and running today, but some of it is young, adoption is uneven across our five teams, and the next stage doesn’t exist yet. You’d help build it, not inherit it.

How we work AI-led:

  • Work starts from a spec: Tickets and specs are drafted with agent help, against our agreed templates. Once a spec meets the bar, engineers pick it up, refine it, and own the design and architecture decisions; only then do agents start implementing.

  • Conventions for how agents get context, how work runs in parallel, and how the results come back together safely.

  • AI review on every merge request in CI, and a human review standard built for telling a plausible answer from a correct one.

What we’ve built to make that work:

  • Our shared AI engineering practice: spec templates, a directory of reusable AI skills, agent harnesses and review conventions for giving agents context, running work in parallel and bringing the results back together safely.

  • A Slack-triggered agent (Timber) that takes a Jira ticket and delivers a merge request, currently handling all bugs and small, well-scoped tickets and built on our RAG context layer and a memory layer.

  • A triage agent that protects the team’s focus: it routes incoming questions, tickets and reports from other internal teams to the right engineering team and does the first level of triage itself; answering directly, creating a bug ticket, or escalating to a human.

The furthest edge of this is our AI team’s production work, the bar the rest of the practice is being pulled toward, and closing that gap across the department is part of your job:

  • AI doing commercial work in production. In June 2026, Saudia Cargo went live with an AI worker our engineers built. It handles inbound rate requests around the clock and returns a quote in seconds, cutting turnaround time by 68% with 89% first-time accuracy.

  • An LLM pipeline turning airlines’ free-text email replies into structured, bookable quotes.

❤️ How we work

  • Feedback is constant and direct, in both directions. You’ll get it in your first week and you’re expected to give it.

  • Remote-first, which means we write things down.

  • You take ownership, and you back your opinions with data.

  • Given the ambitious option and the easy one, you take the ambitious one.

  • Diverse, and playful about it.

✨ What we offer

  • Equity in cargo.one. This role is equity-eligible.

  • Company-provided Claude Code and the other AI tools the work requires.

  • A one-time €650 home office budget, plus your choice of MacBook or Dell laptop, delivered before day one.

  • Co-working access through our partner Desana.

  • 24 paid vacation days on top of your country’s public holidays, plus special leave.

  • Two company-wide offsites a year, plus team trips.

  • Permanent full-time employment. In Germany, a contract with cargo.one. In Portugal, a contract with our subsidiary Cargo Five. Elsewhere in our approved hiring countries, through our partner Remote.com.

🌍 Where you’ll work

We’re remote across our approved hiring countries in the European timezone band, so the engineering team overlaps for most of the working day.

We currently hire in:

Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Moldova, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

We meet in person regularly, including twice a year as a full company.

We can currently support visa processes in Germany only.

We hire for talent. If you don’t tick every box but think you’d be a great match, reach out anyway. We’d love to hear from you.
