Come join us!

Location: Remote (US) - Mountain or Pacific Time

Reports to: Deal Desk Manager

About the Team: The Revenue Operations team at AlphaSense drives productivity and improves efficiency for our account executives, account managers and sales development reps. We create and implement operational reporting & analytics, improve processes, and enable strategic initiatives that impact the revenue organization.  At our core, we are a dynamic team of highly driven self-starters who are passionate about operations and thrive in a fast paced, challenging environment.

About the Role: We’re looking for an Analyst to join our Deal Desk team as we scale. This role sits at the intersection of Sales, Finance, and Legal — helping structure, price, resolve redlines and close deals quickly while setting the foundation for repeatable, auditable processes. You’ll combine hands-on deal support with process design and a growing use of AI tooling to speed up cycle times, and you’ll help define the metrics that show how well the team and our deals are performing.

Who you are:

  • 2+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, FP&A, or a related revenue operations function, ideally at a high-growth SaaS or tech company.
  • Strong grasp of deal structuring, pricing, and contract fundamentals (discounting, ramps, multi-year terms, non-standard clauses).
  • Hands-on experience with CRM (Salesforce). Quoting and/or CLM tools experience is a plus.
  • Curiosity for applying AI tools to operational or deal workflows.
  • Excellent judgment under time pressure
  • Strong cross-functional communicator, comfortable working with Sales, Legal, and Finance.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a bias toward documenting and scaling what works.

What You’ll Do

  • Proactively review inbound deals for structure, pricing, discounting, and terms before they reach approval — flagging risk and inconsistency early rather than after the fact.
  • Serve as a hands-on partner to Sales throughout the deal cycle, answering questions about deal commercials in real time and unblocking deals stuck in review.
  • Apply pricing guardrails and discount frameworks consistently, and escalate exceptions through the appropriate approval path.
  • Partner with Legal and Finance to ensure non-standard terms are reviewed, priced, and documented correctly.
  • Identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement in the deal review process — from approval routing to documentation to handoffs between teams.
  • Work with RevOps/Systems teams to embed AI-assisted steps directly into the Deal Desk workflow (CPQ, CLM, CRM).
  • Maintain the core Deal Desk metrics: cycle time, approval turnaround, discount/exception rates, deal desk SLA attainment, and deal quality.

For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed below.

You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.

Base Compensation Range

$105,000—$115,000 USD

Operations Managing Director, Services at Open Function (OpenFn)

Leads and scales the services delivery portfolio across government implementations, managing teams, business strategy, and financial sustainability of digital public goods programs.

Exec Remote Posted about 13 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Type: Full-time contractor (hours negotiable)

Location: Remote - Africa/Europe time zones (strong preference for candidates based in Africa)

Reports to: CEO

Direct reports: Head of Implementation, Implementation Engineering Director, and Senior Advisors on the Services Team

OpenFn is the digital public good for public service automation & AI orchestration. Our platform automates data exchange and digital workflows so that governments and NGOs can deliver public services more efficiently, achieve interoperability across fragmented systems, and scale critical public services across health, humanitarian, and government programs.

Our team, Open Function Group, the primary steward of this open-source platform, is a lean, fully-remote team of integration specialists, solution architects, and implementation consultants working across 40+ countries.

We are not making marginal improvements to already comfortable lives. We are building the infrastructure that allows governments to function, clinics to operate, and vulnerable populations to access services they depend on. The solutions you design will shape whether a ministry can reach its citizens, whether a health system can act on its own data, and whether a government can adopt AI on its own terms rather than someone else’s.

The role

This is a chance to influence how governments approach AI adoption, public service automation, and digital transformation, not from the outside, but embedded in the delivery of real programs. This year we have 8 government implementations across Africa and Latin America, with global adoption accelerating, and we’re at an inflection point in scaling that critical work. At the same time, we’re trying to solve something few digital public goods have solved: how to be both deeply impactful and financially sustainable, borrowing hard-won lessons from enterprise software and open source companies and adapting them to markets those playbooks weren’t built for. This role sits squarely at that intersection, owning both the impact and financial sustainability of what we deliver, because we believe the two are meant to reinforce each other, not compete.

We are hiring a Head of Global Services to own the full portfolio of delivery work at OpenFn, from project-based implementations to the management and delivery of capacity building “expert days” on retainer for subscribing governments and iNGOs. This role is primarily about team leadership and enablement, business strategy, sales support and scoping, and technical/implementation strategy consulting for government clients and external partners, including both large consulting firms and small local implementers.

OpenFn’s Services organization has historically operated like a traditional IT consulting practice: the same people won new business, scoped it, and delivered it. As we sell more subscription bundles and shift toward recurring, subscription-shaped revenue for our consulting, support, and expert-days work, that model is changing. Sales and account management responsibilities are moving into our Growth organization, and Services is becoming a focused delivery and technical authority function: accountable for scoping accuracy, delivery quality, and SLA performance, not for owning the entire end-to-end sales relationship.

You will be a central architect of that transition: helping design, validate, and then operationalize OpenFn’s new subscription-centered delivery model. You’ll be part of the core strategy team, interfacing regularly with the Head of Product, Head of Growth, CEO and COO, while working closely with our Head of Implementation (who owns day-to-day portfolio execution and financial governance), our Growth organization’s BD Leads and Partner Managers (who own new pipeline and deal-closing), and our Implementation Engineering Director (who owns technical architecture and quality across the delivery portfolio).

Think of this as the role that holds Services accountable for what it delivers, while giving the team the leadership, scoping discipline, and strategic clarity to thrive as the business model shifts underneath it.

What you’ll be doing

Team Leadership & Enablement

  • Lead and develop the Services leadership team, including the Head of Implementation, Director of Engineering, and senior engagement/consulting leads, ensuring they have the strategy, tools, and support to deliver high-quality, profitable work
  • Own hiring, performance management, and career development for the Services leadership bench
  • Maintain the operating rhythm (OKRs, review cadences, portfolio check-ins) that keeps Services focused on financial sustainability and delivery quality
  • Champion adoption of the Implementation Playbook, productization efforts, and AI tooling across the wider team, so delivery knowledge stops living in individual people’s heads
  • Partner closely with the Head of Product to support strategic alignment and a continuous feedback loop between service delivery and the OpenFn platform

Sales Support, Scoping & Deal Negotiation

  • Partner closely with the Growth team during pre-sale to scope engagements accurately, size Expert Days allocations within subscription bundles, and structure pricing that protects target margins
  • Serve as the senior technical and delivery voice in deal negotiations, providing the delivery sign-off on scope, timeline, and resourcing that’s required before any contract is signed
  • Advise Growth on what is realistically deliverable, flagging over-commitment risk before it reaches a client
  • Support RFP responses and proposal development for complex government and NGO engagements

Technical & Implementation Strategy Consulting

  • Serve as a trusted technical and strategic advisor to government ministries, NGOs, and implementation partners, including both large consulting firms and small local providers, on how to structure successful OpenFn-based programs
  • Advise ministry and NGO leadership on broader digital transformation and AI adoption strategy, not just OpenFn-specific implementation choices
  • Represent OpenFn in high-stakes client conversations, escalations, and strategic account relationships
  • Travel to conferences and partner workshops to represent OpenFn and provide expert strategic and technical advisory
  • Provide implementation strategy guidance that balances client needs, platform capabilities, and OpenFn’s delivery capacity

Delivery Portfolio Oversight

  • Own the delivery-side financial accountability for the Services portfolio, translating booked revenue into profitable, efficient execution: gross margin, operating costs, and delivery efficiency against target
  • Oversee delivery of both traditional implementation projects and the expert-days component of subscription bundles, ensuring consistent quality and SLA adherence across both
  • Partner with the Head of Implementation on portfolio-level financial governance (dashboards, margin monitoring, invoicing discipline), while she owns day-to-day operational execution of these systems

Subscription Operating Model Design & Transition

  • Play a leading role in designing, validating, and operationalizing OpenFn’s shift from a traditional IT-consulting delivery model to a subscription-shaped delivery and revenue model
  • Participate in OpenFn’s Global Strategy Team to design, validate, and iterate on our business model, including drawing on how established enterprise software and open source companies structure recurring-revenue delivery, and adapt those lessons to the realities of LMIC government and NGO markets
  • Help define how Services engages with the emerging “front door” structure: the division of labor between Growth (lead generation, pre-sale, partnerships) and Services (scoping input, SLA delivery, Expert Days, training, and implementation-partner enablement)
  • Provide input into pricing, scoping frameworks, and delivery playbooks specific to bundled subscriptions as they’re piloted and rolled out
  • Identify and flag structural or operational gaps as the model evolves, and adapt team processes accordingly

To successfully ensure the technical quality of solutions implemented by the OpenFn services team, you should have the following qualifications and be comfortable consulting with a diverse range of technical stakeholders.

  • 12+ years experience in technical or professional services delivery in B2B/B2G

  • 5+ years at a public-sector-facing technology organization

  • 3+ years leading a technical or professional services delivery team at a B2B or public-sector-facing technology organization

  • Demonstrated experience delivering large, national-scale technology implementations for government partners (e.g., national registries, health information systems, social protection platforms) is a strong advantage

  • Demonstrated experience owning portfolio-level financial accountability (gross margin, operating costs, and delivery efficiency against target); this role is accountable for efficient, profitable delivery of booked revenue, not a new-business sales target

  • Strong financial fluency: comfortable owning financial targets, and translating them into team-level operating discipline

  • Proven experience managing and developing a team of managers or technical delivery leads, not just individual contributors

  • Experience scoping and negotiating complex, multi-stakeholder deals, ideally with government, NGO, or large enterprise clients

  • Willingness to travel internationally (at least once per quarter) for conferences, partner meetings, and government workshops

  • Working knowledge of the operational differences between project-based (services) and subscription-based (recurring) revenue models, and how delivery needs to adapt between them

  • Demonstrated experience being the senior technical/delivery voice in commercial negotiations and public sector contracts

  • Experience working with or managing external implementation partners (systems integrators, consulting firms, or similar)

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication, including facilitating strategic conversations with government and NGO stakeholders

  • Working proficiency in French or Spanish is a strong advantage

  • Background in international development, digital public goods, govtech, or global health is a strong advantage

  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a lean, fully-remote, distributed organization

  • Ability to work from home or a shared office space with fast, stable internet, preferably in a country that is located in Africa/Europe time zones

Financial compensation is commensurate with experience.

N.B.: Selling to NGO & government customers, we don’t offer Silicon Valley pay, but high quality of life and fair, transparent, and competitive compensation is important to us.

Flexible working schedule.

We’re fully remote, with team meetups across Europe and Africa (our last three were in Kigali, Cape Town, and Dakar).

Exposure to hottest industry and technology trends and leading health and humanitarian interventions in the sector.

Opportunity for leadership and advancement. You will be a key contributor to our company’s strategy and direction.

The opportunity to shape our strategy and impact millions of lives through our open source software in a small, mission-driven organization.

Manages end-to-end state medical licensing for healthcare providers across 50 states, coordinating with medical boards and internal teams to ensure compliance and practice readiness.

Mid Remote Posted about 16 hours ago We Work Remotely — Programming
What this role involves

Headquarters: Remote, United States

About Us

Galileo is a team-based medical practice working to improve the quality and affordability of health care for all. Operating across 50 states, Galileo offers high-touch, data-driven, multi-specialty, longitudinal care to diverse and complex patients—on the phone, in the home, and everywhere in between. Regional and national health plans, employers, and Fortune 500 organizations trust Galileo as the leading solution to improve population health. Founded by Dr. Tom X. Lee, the healthcare pioneer behind One Medical and Epocrates, Galileo is a team of leading innovators from healthcare, technology, and human-centered design. Our mission is to apply that talent and scientific thinking to transform society by solving our largest, toughest healthcare problems, while at the same time bringing patient and provider closer.

About the Role

We're looking for a Medical Licensing Specialist to own the end-to-end state licensing process for our provider population across all 50 states. You'll manage the full licensing lifecycle for Registered Nurses (RNs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), MDs, and DOs, coordinating directly with state medical boards, providers, and internal teams to keep our clinicians compliant and practice-ready. The role requires knowledge in state-specific licensing requirements, a high degree of organizational precision, and a proactive approach to issue resolution.

This is a full-time, contract position at 40 hours/week, reporting into the Senior Manager, Licensing and Credentialing.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Manage initial state license applications for RNs, NPs, MDs, and DOs across all 50 states, owning each application from submission through approval
  • Coordinate directly with providers to collect required documentation, including primary source verifications, CEU records, and background checks
  • Communicate with state medical and nursing boards to resolve application issues, answer inquiries, and expedite approvals where possible
  • Maintain current, working knowledge of state-specific licensure requirements, processing timelines, and regulatory changes
  • Use Verifiable to manage provider profiles, track license statuses, and generate compliance reporting for internal stakeholders
  • Ensure all licensing data is accurately entered and maintained in the credentialing system of record
  • Proactively flag and escalate issues to prevent delays in provider readiness, managing an active queue of 60+ licenses at any given time

About You

You are a detail-oriented and process-driven operator who takes ownership of complex, high-volume workflows. You know your way around state medical board requirements and thrive in an environment where precision and follow-through are non-negotiable. You can manage a queue of active applications, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly with providers, boards, and internal teams alike. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, adapting quickly when requirements shift, and escalating the right things at the right time.

We would love to hear from you if you have the following or equivalent experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare licensing, credentialing, or a closely related field
  • Hands-on experience processing state licenses for RNs, NPs, MDs, and/or DOs
  • Familiarity with multi-state licensing requirements and the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
  • Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of concurrent applications
  • Exceptional attention to detail and consistent follow-through on deadline-driven tasks
  • Experience with Verifiable or comparable credentialing platforms (preferred)
  • Experience in a telehealth, virtual care, or multi-state provider organization (preferred)

Compensation: $25/hour

  • Protect data quality. Maintain deal hygiene and accurate opportunity and quote data in Salesforce.
  • Support the close. Help manage order processing and prioritize effectively during periods of high volume, with schedule flexibility at month and quarter end.
  • Escalate well. Identify complex or non standard deals early and hand them off cleanly to the senior deal desk.
  • Partner cross-functionally. Partner with Legal, Finance, and Sales to facilitate, process, and execute standard and non-standard deals.
  • Improve tooling. Help support and improve our CPQ tool, DealHub, and the associated workflows.

What you bring with you:

  • 3–4 years in deal desk, sales operations, or order management within B2B SaaS.
  • Familiarity with CPQ and quote to cash processes (Salesforce, DealHub, or similar).
  • Detail oriented, organized, and responsive; comfortable with high transaction volume and period end pressure.
  • Strong stakeholder service mindset and clear, well structured communication.
  • Understanding of SaaS business models, subscription based pricing, and revenue recognition principles.
  • Not fazed by ambiguity or uncertainty, and comfortable working in a dynamic, hyper growth environment.
  • A clear and thoughtful communicator when discussing and sharing sensitive data with a range of business functions.
    • Strong MS Excel/Google Sheets skills (required).

Target Annual Compensation: Base salary of up to $127,000 and a 10% target bonus.

We’re hyper focused on building a product people love, and on finding every edge that helps us do that better. AI is core to how we operate: every person on the team uses it as a partner to sharpen judgment, move faster, and expand what’s possible. We’re not looking for tool mastery, we’re looking for fluency and curiosity. As a fully remote company (even before COVID!), we welcome applicants from almost anywhere. Our team collaborates synchronously mostly from 9 AM – 2 PM PT and embraces asynchronous work to stay connected across time zones.

Join us on our mission to transform lives by simplifying money, together.

The Role:

Monarch is seeking a Principal, Procurement to join our Finance team during a period of rapid growth. You will partner closely with Finance, Engineering, Legal, Security, IT, People, and business leaders to help Monarch make better purchasing decisions, improve vendor economics, and ensure our technology spend scales efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own and continuously improve Monarch’s company-wide procurement process, including system administration for Zip, ensuring it remains efficient, scalable, and easy for teams to navigate.

  • Lead strategic sourcing and negotiations for material vendors, using market intelligence, usage data, and business context to improve pricing, terms, commitments, and overall value.

  • Build a proactive vendor-management program that provides clear visibility into contracts, spend, ownership, renewals, utilization, performance, and consolidation opportunities.

  • Partner with Finance, Engineering, and business leaders to improve the commercial economics of Monarch’s SaaS, cloud, data, AI, and other technology spend.

  • Drive adoption through clear policies, self-service resources, and employee education developed with People, while using AI and automation to make procurement faster and more proactive.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or technology-spend management, including personal ownership of material negotiations.

  • Demonstrated experience owning and meaningfully improving procurement processes in a high-growth technology company, ideally within B2C, subscription, SaaS, or fintech.

  • Hands-on experience administering a procurement-orchestration or comparable workflow platform, including configuring intake, conditional logic, approval routing, permissions, and reporting.

  • Experience sourcing and negotiating technology spend, including SaaS, cloud infrastructure, data, AI, or other consumption-based vendor models.

  • Experience partnering with Finance and Engineering to manage cloud or other usage-based technology spend and translate cost and usage insights into commercial decisions.

  • Strong commercial and analytical judgment, including the ability to connect spend and utilization data to business value and unit economics.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence leaders, challenge requests constructively, create clear employee guidance, and drive cross-functional decisions without formal authority.

  • A proactive, hands-on operating style and the ability to manage multiple priorities, move between strategy and execution, and bring clear recommendations to ambiguous decisions.

  • Demonstrated AI fluency: You use AI regularly in your work, have a clear point of view on where it helps and where it doesn’t, and continuously raise your own bar. You are excited to redesign procurement workflows around AI and automation—not just use AI to complete existing tasks faster.

Nice to Haves:

  • Direct experience administering Zip or a comparable procurement-orchestration platform.

  • Familiarity with AWS and Google Cloud cost structures, committed-use agreements, cloud cost allocation, or cloud-cost-management tooling.

  • Experience procuring AI models, APIs, financial-data infrastructure, or other high-volume usage-based services.

  • Experience in fintech, consumer subscription, financial services, or another regulated technology environment.

  • Familiarity with security, privacy, legal, and third-party risk-review processes.

  • Drive adoption through clear policies, self-service resources, and employee education developed with People, while using AI and automation to make procurement faster and more proactive.

Operations Director, Fulfillment Network Optimization (Remote) at ezCater

Director leads fulfillment network strategy, manages delivery partnerships and capacity optimization, and owns end-to-end operations across internal and third-party delivery networks.

Lead Remote Posted 3 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

ezCater is the #1 food tech platform for workplaces in the US. The company makes it easy for any organization to manage its food needs and order from over 125,000 restaurants nationwide. For workplaces, ezCater provides flexible and scalable solutions for everything from employee meal programs to one-off meetings, all backed by 24⁄7 service and business-grade reliability. For restaurant partners, ezCater helps grow their business by bringing them new high-value customers and large orders.

As Director of Fulfillment Network Optimization, you will own the strategies and day-to-day operations that keep our fulfillment engine running reliably at scale. Reporting to the VP of Delivery & Fulfillment, you will sit at the intersection of delivery operations, data intelligence, and strategic partnership management — translating complex operational realities into innovative solutions that drive consistent, excellent experiences for our customers, caterers, and delivery partners.

Our catering partners handle the majority of our deliveries. Our third-party delivery network, Dispatch, unlocks additional capacity that lets caterers take on more volume, gives customers access to more food options, and enables ezCater to extend its market-leading reliability. You will lead the strategy, relationships, and platform intelligence across both tracks — always with an eye toward network effects that drive scale, growth, and financial leverage.

What You’ll Do:

Fulfillment Solutions

  • Own end-to-end relationship management for our dispatch and self-delivery service provider network, managing the full partner lifecycle from onboarding and ramp through steady-state performance and sunset, as needed.
  • Drive growth-oriented performance through structured accountability frameworks and incentives designed to deliver best-in-class customer experiences.
  • Effectively balance and diversify capacity against demand across the network, identifying and closing coverage gaps while cultivating the network effects that unlock scale, growth, and financial leverage.
  • Negotiate and secure financially attractive commercial agreements with regional and national delivery organizations, representing ezCater’s interests in high-stakes partnership discussions.
  • Ensure data quality and uptime across delivery integrations, routing performance feedback to the right internal and external stakeholders to close loops and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and lead customer-facing delivery programs that require higher-level or specialized service, including Meal Program, Concierge, Corporate Accounts, and Channel Partners, supporting premium use cases and driving growth in strategic channels.
  • Build scalable, reliable solutions for high-touch and enterprise customers, ensuring that their delivery experience matches the elevated expectations of ezCater’s most important accounts.

Fulfillment Intelligence & Optimization

  • Evaluate multiple layers of fulfillment data and translate findings into recommended monitoring frameworks, operational workflows, and actionable insights for both frontline and leadership teams.
  • Leverage network-wide performance visibility to continuously develop and test hypotheses, turning data patterns into experiments that produce measurable improvements.
  • Assess data quality gaps across fulfillment systems and guide the integration of new data sources that deepen network visibility and sharpen decision-making.
  • Surface and champion partner-specific opportunities to strengthen intelligence infrastructure — including driver feedback loops, photo AI, package counts, and equipment availability signals.

Strategy & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Set the overall delivery strategy: understand industry trends and translate them into a forward-looking plan that ensures catering and delivery partners consistently set the bar for reliable execution.
  • Continuously evolve our approach to meet customer needs — protecting ezCater’s market positioning through new strategic initiatives, fleet partnerships, and commercial deals that support network growth.
  • Establish clear, transparent success criteria for all partners so expectations are never ambiguous and partners are never surprised.
  • Drive rigorous analysis and project management to inform strategic decisions; understand and optimize the key levers that improve the delivery experience and core ezCater unit economics.
  • Measure the impact of every strategy you execute, using outcomes to fuel continuous improvement across the business.
  • Collaborate deeply with Customer & Restaurant Operations, Product & Engineering, Customer Service, and Growth teams — both as a consumer of their input and as a driver of insights they need to succeed.
  • Inspire your team to aim higher. Delivery is a demanding business; your leadership style will be the difference between a team that thrives under pressure and one that merely survives.

What You Have:

  • 7-10 years of relevant delivery, logistics, or fulfillment operations experience, with demonstrated expertise in managing complex partner networks.
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills — you build trust quickly with both internal stakeholders and external commercial partners at all levels.
  • Proven data analytics skills and the ability to translate data into strategic action; comfortable with ambiguity and hypothesis-driven decision-making.
  • Experience mapping and innovating operational processes, with a bias toward automation, efficiency, and scalable systems.
  • Track record of leveraging cross-functional stakeholders to manage and execute high-impact, complex projects.
  • Technology orientation — comfortable working alongside Product & Engineering teams to shape platform capabilities, data integrations, and intelligent workflows.
  • Executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to influence at the C-suite level.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 5 days per quarter for Together Weeks, team gatherings and other events, when applicable.

Operations Staff Site Reliability Engineer at Fingerprint

Define and implement SLIs/SLOs, establish error budgets, strengthen incident response processes, and coach engineering teams on reliability best practices across the platform.

Lead Remote Posted 4 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Fingerprint empowers enterprises to detect and stop online fraud with the world’s most accurate device intelligence.  We lead our industry with bleeding-edge identification capabilities and work on turning new ideas and discoveries in the fraud detection space into reality. Our customers range from innovative startups to leading enterprise companies, including Plaid, Dropbox, and Booking.com.

Fingerprint is a globally dispersed, 100% remote company. We were named on on the 2026 Forbes Best Startup Employers list and ranked #803 on the 2026 Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies.

We have raised $77M and are backed by Craft Ventures (Tesla, Facebook, Airbnb ), Nexus Venture Partners ( Postman, Apollo.io, MinIO, Druva) and Uncorrelated Ventures ( Redis, Rollbar,  Gradle).

About the role

You will be Fingerprint’s first dedicated Site Reliability Engineer. You will work alongside our Architect on the shape of the platform, with Cloud Platform on the infrastructure that runs it, and with every product team on how they operate what they own — without direct reports. The mandate has three parts. First, make reliability measurable: define SLIs and SLOs for our critical paths, get teams to own them, and make error budgets the shared language for prioritizing reliability against features. Second, raise the operational bar: strengthen incident response, postmortem quality, alerting, and change safety so that we find out first and repeat incidents stop repeating. Third, build the mindset: coach teams to design for failure, test for it deliberately, and treat operability as part of done — so the practices outlive your involvement in any single team.

You report directly to the VP of Engineering. That placement is deliberate: reliability standards need to apply evenly across eight engineering groups, and you need the neutrality to hold every team, including infrastructure, to the same bar.

What you’ll do

Make reliability measurable

  • Define SLIs and SLOs for Fingerprint’s critical request paths (identification, events, server APIs, client agents) with the teams that own them; make them visible, reviewed, and tied to decisions.
  • Introduce error budgets as the mechanism for balancing reliability investment against feature work, and coach EMs and Staff engineers on using them.
  • Own the reliability metrics that leadership uses to judge progress; be the No Nonsense voice on whether we are actually getting better.

Raise the operational bar

  • Strengthen the incident lifecycle end to end: detection, response, communication, postmortem quality, and follow-up completion. Make the postmortem the most useful document a team writes.
  • Close the “customers find out before we do” gap: drive alert quality, correctness anomaly detection, and escalation design across teams, working with Cloud Platform on shared tooling.
  • Lead reliability reviews for high-risk changes and new services (production readiness, capacity, failure modes, rollback), teaching through review rather than gatekeeping.
  • Introduce deliberate failure testing (game days, chaos exercises) in staging first, then production, to discover gaps and safe limits before customers do.

Build the SRE mindset in teams

  • Embed with teams for time-boxed engagements: pair on their hardest reliability problems, leave behind better practices and a stronger owner, then move on.
  • Develop Staff and Lead engineers as reliability leaders in their own groups — the goal is that every team has someone who thinks like an SRE.
  • Codify practices that stick: production readiness checklists, on-call standards, runbook quality, change safety norms. Make them lightweight enough that teams choose to use them.
  • Partner with the Architect and tech leads so reliability is designed in, not retrofitted.

Stay hands-on

  • Dig into production during incidents and investigations. Write tooling, dashboards, and reference implementations. Be credible with the engineers you are asking to change how they work.
  • Lead AI adoption in reliability practice: set norms for AI-assisted incident investigation, postmortem analysis, runbook authoring, and observability tooling across teams, and shape our runbooks, alerts, and operational data so AI agents can safely help diagnose and operate our systems alongside engineers.

What we’re looking for

  • 10+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years as an SRE, production engineer, or reliability-focused Staff engineer operating across multiple teams — you have owned reliability for a platform, not just for a service you built.
  • Deep experience with SLI/SLO design and error budgets in practice, including the hard part: getting product teams to adopt and act on them.
  • Strong incident leadership: you have run incident response and postmortems for high-severity, customer-facing incidents and materially improved how an organization learns from them.
  • Hands-on depth in distributed systems failure modes — cache/database saturation and cascading failure, retry storms, capacity limits, degradation and load shedding — in a high-throughput, low-latency environment. Fluent in Kubernetes, AWS, and modern observability tooling (Datadog or equivalent).
  • Comfortable reading and writing production code (Go, TypeScript, or similar) and infrastructure as code. You can ship a fix, not just recommend one.
  • Track record of leading through influence: you have changed how teams you did not manage operate, and can explain how adoption actually happened.
  • Teacher’s instinct. You have coached engineers into owning reliability and can point to practices that persisted after you stepped back.
  • Exceptional written communication. You make incidents, risks, and trade-offs legible to engineers and executives alike, and you default to async, documented decision-making.
  • AI-native by default. You use AI tools as a normal part of how you investigate incidents, analyze telemetry, write runbooks and postmortems, and build tooling — and you have opinions, from experience, about where they accelerate reliability work and where they don’t yet.
  • Operate for an AI-assisted org. You think about how runbooks, alerts, dashboards, and operational data should be structured so that both humans and AI agents can diagnose and act on them safely — legible signals, clear ownership, strong guardrails on automated change.
  • Pragmatism over purity. You know that reliability competes with delivery, and you can make the case for the right investment at the right time — and say when a risk is acceptable.

Nice to have

  • Experience in fraud detection, identity, payments, or other adversarial, real-time domains.
  • Multi-region, cell-based, or failure-isolation architecture experience.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch, Redis, DynamoDB, or Kafka at scale, including their failure modes.
  • Familiarity with FinOps and the reliability/cost trade-off in cloud infrastructure.

Compensation & Transparency

For US-based employees, the cash compensation range for this role is $177,000 – $240,000. We set standard ranges for all US roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. To comply with local legislation and provide greater transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. However, these ranges are specific to the hiring location and may differ within or outside the US. Offers vary depending on, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, certifications/licenses, skills, training, and market conditions.

Due to regulatory and security reasons, there’s a small number of countries where we cannot have Fingerprint teammates based. Additionally, because Fingerprint is an all-remote company and people can join our workforce from almost any country, we do not sponsor visas. Fingerprint teammates need to be authorized to work from their home location.

We are dedicated to creating an inclusive work environment for everyone. We embrace and celebrate the unique experiences, perspectives and cultural backgrounds that each employee brings to our workplace. Fingerprint strives to foster an environment where our employees feel respected, valued and empowered, and our team members are at the forefront in helping us promote and sustain an inclusive workplace. We highly encourage people from underrepresented groups in tech to apply.
