Staff motion designer leads 3D motion design across product launches, brand moments, and UI systems while establishing motion design standards and exploring AI integration.
In 1958, graphic designer Saul Bass opened Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo with a spiral of color and line that told you everything about obsession before a single line of dialogue was spoken. Bass didn’t think of the title sequence as a formality before the “real” movie started — he treated it as its own act of storytelling, one built entirely from motion, typography, and rhythm. He went on to define the opening moments of Psycho, North by Northwest, and Anatomy of a Murder, proving that how something moves can carry as much meaning as what it shows.
Mercury believes that level of care and craft in design has been lost in modern finance and we’re building a brand that brings it back. We’re a financial technology company building products that feel extraordinary to use. We help people and businesses accomplish more with their money by turning banking* from a frustration into a catalyst for their ambitions.
We’re looking for a Staff Motion Designer to own motion at Mercury, from the launch films and product videos that introduce our biggest bets, to the systems and standards that define how motion looks and feels across every surface. This is the most senior craft role on the team: someone who sets the bar through their own work. You’ll move fluidly between 3D worlds, materials, and textures for our highest-profile brand moments, and the day-to-day motion, UI, and interaction work that makes Mercury feel considered everywhere it shows up. You’ll also help define how AI fits into a motion practice at Mercury — using it to move faster on pre-vis, iteration, and asset generation, while knowing exactly where craft still has to be done by hand.
*Mercury is a fintech company, not an FDIC-insured bank. Banking services provided through Choice Financial Group and Column N.A., Members FDIC.

All individuals seeking employment at Mercury are considered without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, veteran status, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected characteristic. Twin Health
At Twin Health, we empower people to improve and prevent chronic metabolic diseases, like type 2 diabetes and obesity, with a new standard of care. Twin Health is the only company applying AI Digital Twin technology exclusively toward metabolic health.
We start by building a dynamic model of each person’s metabolism — drawing on thousands of data points from CGMs, smartwatches, and meal logs — that maps their personal path to better health. Guided by a dedicated clinical care team, our members have lowered their A1C below the diabetes range, achieved lasting weight loss, and reduced or even eliminated medications, all while living healthier, happier lives.
Working here
Our team at Twin Health is passionate, talented, and united by a shared purpose: to improve the metabolic health and happiness of our members. We believe in empowering every Twin to make a meaningful impact for our members, our clients, and each other, while enjoying a supportive, collaborative work environment.
Twin has been recognized not only for our innovation but also for our culture, including: Innovator of the Year by the Employer Health Innovation Roundtable (EHIR), selected to CB Insights’ Digital Health 150, and named one of Newsweek’s Top Most Loved Workplace® .
With more than $100 million raised in recent funding, including a $53 million Series E round in 2025 led by Maj Invest, and a $50 million investment in 2023 led by Temasek, Twin is scaling rapidly across the U.S. and globally. Backed by leading venture firms like ICONIQ Growth, Sequoia, Sofina, Temasek, and Peak XV, we are building the most impactful digital health company in the world.
Join us as we reinvent the standard of care in metabolic health.
Opportunity
As a Principal Product Designer, you’ll own the end-to-end experience strategy for our mobile app — the primary touchpoint where members manage their health every day. But more than that, you’ll be doing something very few designers get to do: inventing the interaction language for agentic AI in healthcare from scratch.
There is no established playbook here. Agentic experiences — where AI acts autonomously on a user’s behalf, surfaces proactive guidance, and adapts in real time to behavior and health data — are among the least explored frontiers in product design today. You’ll be the person who figures out what these patterns look, feel, and behave like for people managing chronic conditions. That requires genuine originality, comfort with ambiguity, and the creative confidence to propose something that has never existed before.
This is the highest craft and leadership bar we hire to. You’ll be a recognized thought leader internally — setting the quality standard others aspire to, shaping product roadmaps beyond your immediate scope, and leaving a design legacy that outlasts any single feature.
This isn’t iteration work. It’s an invention.

Leads end-to-end mobile app experience design and invents interaction patterns for agentic AI in healthcare.

Staff Product Designer owns end-to-end design for core platform systems, defining data models, interaction patterns, and design foundations that shape the entire product experience.
Nonprofits do some of the most important work in the world, and most of them are still managing grants in spreadsheets. We’re fixing that.
Instrumentl is a profitable, hypergrowth, YC-backed SaaS platform building the operating system for grant-funded organizations. More than 5,500 nonprofits use Instrumentl to discover, track, and win grant funding, from local community organizations to the San Diego Zoo and the University of Alaska. Collectively they’ve moved over $1 billion through our platform.
We’re growing quickly, customers love us (check out our G2 reviews!), and we’re hiring people who want to build something that matters.
We are hiring a Staff Product Designer reporting to the Head of Design. You’ll own GrantOS, the foundational layer every other product area at Instrumentl sits on top of: Platform (the data layer, MCP, BI), Core (Tracker, Tasks, Reports, Integrations), and the enterprise surfaces that connect them. This is the seat where you define how grant professionals experience Instrumentl as a system rather than a set of features, which means the data models, permissions, and interaction patterns you set get inherited by every designer and every pod after you. Much of this area is still being invented, so you will be defining problems rather than receiving specs.
