Data Analytics Staff Data Scientist at Roofr

Staff Data Scientist develops ML models, designs experiments, and builds data apps to drive business decisions across growth, revenue, and product teams.

Senior Posted about 13 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

At Roofr, we’re obsessed with our customers. We constantly gather feedback to shape, prioritize, and launch the products they truly need. That’s what makes Roofr’s CRM special. We started by building essential sales tools like aerial roof measurements and digital sales proposals. But when our customers asked for a simple, affordable way to manage and scale their entire businesses, we listened. So, we created a CRM that connects these solutions—along with payments, material ordering, and more—into a seamless, powerful platform. With a clear roadmap ahead, we’re excited to continue expanding and leading the market with innovative products.

We have an amazing culture, strong financials, and best-in-class company metrics. It’s an exciting time to be part of an extraordinary startup that is already successful, yet still early enough to offer its team significant growth, equity, and the opportunity to make a real impact.

This position is for an existing vacancy.

As a Staff Data Scientist at an early-stage, high-growth company, you’ll play a critical role in turning raw data into insights and apps that shape strategy, fuel growth, and improve the customer experience. You’ll have a direct hand in the decisions that move the business, not just the reports that describe it.

This isn’t a “run the numbers and hand off a deck” role. You’ll be partnering directly with senior leaders and an experienced data & analytics team to drive data science and experimentation initiatives across sales, marketing, and product areas — putting both traditional analysis and ML to effect change.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Architect optimization analyses and forecasts that help leaders pinpoint opportunities across Growth, Strategy, Revenue, Marketing, and Product teams.
  • Partner directly with executive leadership, translating complex analysis into clear, actionable decisions and process changes.
  • Design counterfactual analyses and A/B tests to enable data-driven evolution of our UX, product features and customer experience.
  • Build data apps that automate and supercharge our sales and marketing processes.
  • Own your projects end-to-end — from framing the business question to shipping the model to presenting the recommendation, with the autonomy to decide how you get there.
  • Work on top the same semantic layer and DBT models powering our AI-driven analytics stack (Snowflake Cortex, Sigma, Claude, etc.), so your analyses build on a single-source-of-truth data.
  • Create data science frameworks — templates and guides that data practitioners across the org can leverage and build upon.

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

  • 7+ years of experience in data science in a fast-moving business setting, with a track record of running the show on ambiguous, high-stakes problems.
  • Hands-on experience with a modern cloud data stack — Snowflake, DBT, and various BI tools (Sigma, Looker, Metabase, Omni, or similar).
  • Strong SQL and statistical modeling skills, with a track record of building forecasting and causal inference models.
  • A love of documentation and Git — you enable others to build on top of your work..
  • You appreciate scalable data models — you contribute to the shared semantic layer, and let the whole org benefit.
  • You’re just as excited to hack together a scrappy new analysis or app as you are to build scalable products that meet stringent quality standards.

Who You Are:

  • Self-driven and organized, with the ability to manage projects across cross-functional stakeholder groups with minimal oversight, keeping everyone updated on progress and next steps.
  • You don’t wait for direction — you spot the opportunity, make the case, and drive it through.
  • An amazing communicator and presenter, equally comfortable in a room with executive leadership or heads-down in the data.
  • A true team player — you love brainstorming, peer reviews, and pressure-testing ideas.
  • You’re in it for the journey, not just the destination.

Compensation Band: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 CAD

Our compensation ranges are built using multiple market benchmarks and reflect both the scope of the role and current market data. While many hires fall within the beginning to midpoint of the band to allow for growth over time, we tailor offers based on each candidate’s experience, seniority, and demonstrated impact.

🏠 What we offer (US + Canada)

When you join our team, you’re not just accepting a job. You’re making a career move. Here’s how we’ll support you in doing some of the most impactful work of your career:

Data Analytics Triad Modernization Advisor (1099) at Red Cell Partners

Validates optimization models and cleans/interprets nuclear modernization program data to support decision-making across the defense enterprise.

Senior Hybrid Posted 1 day ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About Us

Red Cell Partners is an incubation firm building and investing in rapidly scalable technology-led companies that are bringing revolutionary advancements to market in three distinct practice areas: healthcare, cyber, and national security. United by a shared sense of duty and deep belief in the power of innovation, Red Cell is developing powerful tools and solutions to address our Nation’s most pressing problems.

This role will support DEFCON AI.

About the Triad Modernization Advisor Role

DEFCON AI is modeling how risk cascades across the nuclear Triad. When a schedule slips, a cost estimate breaches, or capacity comes up short in one program, the consequences rarely stay in that program. We make those second and third order effects visible early enough for a decision maker to do something.

We are looking for a Triad Modernization Advisor to bring firsthand nuclear enterprise experience to that effort. You will be the person on the team who can look at a model result and say whether it reflects how the enterprise actually behaves, and who can get the underlying data into shape when it arrives messy.

This is a 1099 consulting engagement of up to 20 hours per week. The role is primarily on-site in the Offutt AFB area, with some work performed remotely.

What you will do:

Triad Expertise:

  • Apply firsthand expertise in nuclear triad modernization to sharpen and validate our optimization models and decision support tools
  • Pressure-test model assumptions and outputs against how the enterprise plans, programs, and executes in reality
  • Work alongside an interdisciplinary team of optimization and simulation experts to design, build, and refine models that deliver real-world decision support
  • Partner directly with customers, product leadership, and external stakeholders

Data:

  • Organize, clean, and translate acquisition planning and budget datasets tied to legacy system sustainment and modernization programs
  • Interpret and visualize data on program cost, schedule, and performance
  • Reconcile data that arrives from multiple sources in different formats and may not agree with itself

What we are looking for

  • Firsthand experience in nuclear triad modernization. You have held program, requirements, resourcing, or operational planning responsibility inside one or more of these efforts.
  • Working command of the nuclear enterprise. Planning processes, acquisition programs, and the funding mechanisms behind them, including planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) and program objective memorandum (POM) rhythms, milestone decisions, and appropriation categories.
  • Executive-level results. You have been accountable for analysis that informed resourcing or program decisions, and you have briefed and defended it at the O6, flag, or SES level.
  • Systems thinking. You can trace an effect across program, budget, and operational boundaries.
  • Communication in both directions. You can be useful to a modeler debugging an assumption in the morning and to a senior operational customer in the afternoon.
  • Clearance. Active Secret or above.
  • Location. Offutt Air Force Base commuting area.

Bonus points

  • Experience at or above the O4/GS-13 level in a Combatant Command J5, J8, or similar organization
  • Background in consulting, systems engineering, operational planning, or mission-focused solution development
  • Experience within operational commands, service headquarters, Joint Staff, OSW, or defense innovation organizations
  • Modeling, simulation, or operations research experience

Our Red Cell Partners Benefits (may differ for each incubation):

For full-time roles

  • Career track opportunity with potential for rapid advancement with strong performance as the firm grows

  • 100% employer paid, comprehensive health care including medical, dental, and vision for you and your family.

  • Paid maternity and paternity for 14 weeks at employees’ normal pay.

  • Unlimited PTO, with management approval.

  • Opportunities for professional development and continued learning.

  • Optional 401K, FSA, and equity incentives available.

  • Mental health benefits are available through Tara Mind.

  • Cost effective GLP-1 solutions available through Crux.

We’re an Equal Opportunity Employer: You’ll receive consideration for employment without regard to race, sex, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or on the basis of disability.

Data Analytics Staff Data Scientist, Data Products at Syndio

Staff Data Scientist owns product measurement strategies, defines success metrics, conducts deep-dive analyses, and builds dashboards to guide product decisions across compensation intelligence platform.

Senior Posted 1 day ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Do you want to empower organizations to build smarter compensation strategies while ensuring fair pay for all employees?

Syndio is the leading pay governance and compensation intelligence platform. We help organizations make better pay decisions at every stage of the compensation lifecycle, from leveling and offers to promotions and merit. Our platform gives HR, compensation, and finance leaders the data and decision support they need to govern pay fairly, compliantly, and with confidence. We partner with many of the world’s most recognized and respected enterprises, helping them implement leading-edge compensation solutions with expert guidance and analyzing pay for over 10 million employees across the world.

Join us in our mission to help companies make smarter pay decisions they can trust!

About the role

We are looking for a Staff Data Scientist, Data Products to serve as a senior analytical and product partner across Syndio’s product and data-product portfolio. You will own measurement strategies for our product platform, translate usage and business data into product decisions, and help turn those signals — together with pay-equity, policy, job architecture, market, and workforce data — into customer-facing analytical products.

This is a high-autonomy, high-visibility staff role. You will lead ambiguous, cross-functional work from opportunity discovery through methodology, validation, production, and launch; partner with Product, Data Science, Engineering, Privacy, Legal, Sales, and Customer Success; and set standards for analytical rigor, interpretability, data quality, and responsible data use. The role is an individual contributor position with broad influence.

Why this job is exciting

Product Measurement & Decision Support

  • Own measurement strategies for Syndi’s core user workflows — including offer endorsement, approval, and acceptance — defining events, metrics, and success criteria that guide product decisions.
  • Partner with engineering to design and validate event instrumentation for new features, ensuring tracking is accurate, consistent, and privacy-safe from the start.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses into feature adoption, workflow completion, user engagement, customer outcomes, and operational patterns to surface actionable insights.
  • Build and maintain production-grade dashboards and self-serve reporting in Mixpanel, BigQuery, and BI tooling that give product teams and senior leaders visibility into product health.
  • Translate complex, ambiguous usage data into clear, prioritized recommendations for technical, product, and executive audiences.

Data Product Development

  • Define and lead analytical strategies for new compensation and workforce data products that make Syndio more valuable, differentiated, and difficult to replicate.
  • Identify high-value opportunities to combine Syndio’s aggregated and anonymized first-party data with compensation market data, job-posting and skills data, and other third-party sources.
  • Develop diagnostics that measure compensation governance and execution health, including policy-versus-practice gaps, job-architecture health, governance adoption, strategic alignment, and overpayment risk.
  • Lead complex initiatives from early exploration and hypothesis formation through analytical validation, productionization, commercialization, and launch.
  • Evaluate whether proposed data products are analytically defensible, interpretable, commercially valuable, privacy-preserving, and responsible to use.
  • Contribute to the give-to-get data strategy by identifying which product and customer signals can strengthen Syndio’s broader data assets over time.

Cross-functional Leadership & Standards

  • Serve as a senior analytical partner in product discovery, sprint planning, roadmap discussions, business reviews, and product planning cycles.
  • Partner with Data Science on experiment design, causal analysis, model evaluation, and measurement of model-assisted workflows.
  • Work with Customer Success and Sales to connect product usage and data-product insights to customer value, health, and renewal risk.
  • Establish and champion standards for event data, analytical quality, documentation, interpretability, privacy, and responsible data use.
  • Provide technical and analytical leadership to other practitioners, raise data literacy across the product organization, and build self-serve capability.

About you

  • 8+ years of experience in product analytics, data science, analytics engineering, or a closely related role, including substantial experience supporting software products and/or developing analytical products.
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools and workflows, using them to accelerate analysis, prototyping, code generation, documentation, and data-product development while validating outputs and exercising sound judgment.
  • Familiarity with emerging AI and BI innovation — including natural-language interfaces, automated insights, semantic layers, and agentic workflows — and the ability to evaluate where these capabilities can improve analytical products and customer experiences.
  • A track record of setting direction and leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with significant product or business impact.
  • Deep proficiency in SQL and strong working proficiency with Python, R, or a comparable analytical language.
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical measurement, benchmarking, experimentation, data modeling, segmentation, data quality assessment, and analytical validation.
  • Experience designing event schemas, product measurement strategies, funnels, dashboards, and self-serve reporting using tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, Looker, Tableau, or equivalent.
  • Experience combining large, imperfect datasets into analytically defensible, interpretable, and commercially valuable products or insights.
  • Exceptional judgment and comfort operating in ambiguous, evolving problem spaces; able to determine when approximation is appropriate and when precision is required.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders, communicate complex methodologies clearly, and drive alignment across technical and non-technical audiences.

Extra Credit

  • Experience instrumenting or evaluating a GenAI-native product, including model-assisted workflows.
  • Deep familiarity with compensation, pay equity, workforce planning, labor-market data, job architecture, skills taxonomies, or people analytics.
  • Experience with compensation surveys, job-posting data, privacy-preserving analytics, or third-party data licensing and governance.
  • Familiarity with GDPR/CCPA and related privacy considerations for user-level event data and aggregated or anonymized customer data.

  • Paid parental leave

  • 🏥  Life Insurance & Disability. Syndio covers the full premium.
  • 🏦 401(k). To help you save for your future
  • Fully remote model - #LI-Remote

Data Analytics Lead Revenue Operations Analyst at Spreedly

Owns sales forecasting, pipeline analytics, GTM planning, and compensation strategy to drive data-driven revenue operations decisions.

Senior Posted 3 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About Us:

Spreedly is the world’s leading Open Payments Platform. Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Durham, NC, the company gives mid-market and enterprise businesses the infrastructure to connect to any payment gateway, processor, or fraud tool through a single API. The platform is vendor-agnostic by design, meaning customers are never locked into a single provider and never need to rebuild their payments stack to access new capabilities.

The core business problem Spreedly solves is real and costly: global merchants face a fragmented payments ecosystem, where every new market, payment method, or fraud tool typically requires a separate, time-consuming integration. Spreedly eliminates that complexity, enabling companies to route transactions intelligently, secure cardholder data, prevent fraud, and expand into new markets without heavy engineering overhead.

About the Role:

Spreedly is building a new go-to-market operations function, and we’re hiring a Lead Revenue Operations Analyst to help run it. Revenue Operations is joining Business Operations, and rather than migrate the function as-is, we’re pivoting it into a broader GTM Operations pillar — one built to run a predictable, efficient go-to-market operating engine.

This is a senior individual contributor role with no people management responsibilities, reporting to the Sr. Director of Business Operations and serving as a trusted thought partner to our SVP of Revenue. You will own sales forecasting, pipeline and performance analytics, GTM planning, and sales compensation strategy, combining quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis with broader business context to inform decisions. You will work closely with the GTM Operations Analyst, who will contribute operational context, supporting analysis, and execution, while this role maintains overall accountability for the forecast, quota methodology, and recommendations to Revenue leadership.

You will go beyond reporting what happened. You will independently identify what is changing in the business, understand why, and translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations that help Revenue leadership act early — for example, spotting churn risk in the funnel before it becomes lost revenue. This role is designed for someone who wants significant impact through expertise, judgment, analytical rigor, and execution rather than through managing a team. You will operate with significant autonomy, partnering directly with executive and sales leadership to turn analysis into action.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the sales forecasting process end-to-end — methodology, pipeline inspection, risk identification, and forecast accuracy — and run the cadence that gives leadership clear, actionable views of existing and new-customer opportunities
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to the SVP Revenue, proactively surfacing trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions
  • Analyze pipeline health, coverage, conversion, velocity, win/loss trends, and sales productivity to identify actionable insights and assess sales-funnel health and risk
  • Build quantitative models and complex-dataset analyses that support revenue decisions, planning, and scenario evaluation
  • Own the reporting and operating cadence that Revenue leadership uses to review performance, inspect the pipeline, and drive accountability
  • Own revenue operations planning and partner with Revenue and Finance leadership on GTM planning, including quotas, capacity, headcount, targets, and scenario planning
  • Own sales compensation strategy, design, and governance, including quota and incentive modeling, performance analysis, and oversight of commission accuracy, while partnering with the GTM Operations Analyst on day-to-day plan administration and commission processing.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and executive leaders on go-to-market decisions, including revenue-operations considerations for tools and processes such as CPQ and deal desk
  • Develop pipeline reporting that strengthens the prospect funnel in partnership with marketing, supports reps as they work opportunities through to close, and improves visibility from bookings through revenue conversion
  • Independently drive complex revenue operations work from problem definition through analysis, recommendation, and execution
  • Communicate complex findings clearly and concisely to executive and cross-functional audiences

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, GTM Strategy & Operations, or a related role, within a complex B2B SaaS environment
  • Deep experience in owning sales forecasting and improving forecast quality, rigor, and visibility
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills, including building models and analyzing complex datasets in Google Sheets, and translating that analysis into business recommendations
  • Proven ability to partner with senior Revenue leaders, bring an independent point of view, and influence decisions through data and insight
  • Strong understanding of pipeline management, coverage, conversion, velocity, sales productivity, and SaaS GTM metrics
  • Experience with sales compensation, including plan administration, commission processes, quota setting, and compensation analysis
  • Deep experience with Salesforce
  • Experience with GTM planning, including capacity, headcount, quota, target, or scenario planning
  • Strong financial and business acumen, with the ability to partner effectively with Finance and FP&A
  • The communication and presentation skills to be a trusted thought partner to senior leaders and convert strategy into clear action
  • Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor with significant autonomy and ownership, in a newly formed function without an established playbook
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time

Additional Skills We Value:

  • Ironclad or other contract lifecycle management solutions
  • Vasco or similar revenue operations platforms
  • Tableau experience
  • HubSpot experience
  • Fintech domain expertise

We Offer Our US-Based Employees:

  • Competitive salary + Equity
  • Outstanding Medical and Dental benefits, including 100% employer-paid option
  • Company-paid Life and Disability insurance
  • Optional vision and supplemental insurance options, and various Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
  • Open Paid Time Off policy + 12 weeks of paid leave for new parents
  • Matching 401(k) plan (5% up to $5,000 yearly)
  • $1,000 annual professional development stipend
  • Monthly home working/digital lifestyle stipend, new MacBook, and one-time accessory reimbursement
  • Access to company-paid professional coaching service
  • Visits to HQ in Durham, North Carolina for remote employees

Spreedly Product Offering:

Spreedly provides an open payments platform. The platform’s connectivity provides payments performance. Key products and services include:

Connect— A unified API that integrates with hundreds of payment gateways, processors, and alternative payment methods worldwide, including digital wallets. Merchants access the global payments ecosystem through one connection.

Vault — A PCI-compliant secure repository for payment methods. Merchants store card data once and reuse it across any payment service, reducing PCI scope and protecting cardholder data at scale.

Optimize— Workflow-driven routing and retry logic that directs each transaction to the best-performing gateway in real time. On average, 7.9% of failed transactions succeed immediately when retried on a secondary gateway. This is where merchants recover lost revenue and increase authorization success rates.

Protect— A flexible fraud and authentication layer, incorporating advanced fraud tools and 3DS. Following Spreedly’s acquisition of Dodgeball in September 2025, fraud orchestration and payment optimization now operate within the same platform.

Resolve— Centralized management and reporting that reduces operational silos, strengthens security, and improves billing control across a merchant’s entire payment operation.

More Coming Soon! - Keep your eyes peeled for a new product launch by EOY ‘26

What It’s Like to Work Here:

We describe our team as “Spreedlings”: diverse, forward-thinking, and driven by a shared belief that a more open payments ecosystem benefits everyone. The company operates with a culture built on transparency, courageous collaboration, and self-driven leadership. The team values simplicity in both product and process, and approaches problem-solving with genuine curiosity.

–

We champion the ethical, creative use of AI—if you’re someone who pairs human judgment with modern AI tools to work smarter and drive bigger impact, you’ll thrive here.

–

Spreedly is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. We actively work to drive out even unintentional discrimination in our hiring processes via practices like blindly graded work samples, structured interviews, and diversity awareness training.

Due to the sensitive nature of what Spreedly does - handling payment data - finalist candidates must complete a successful background and reference check.

At this time Spreedly is unable to provide sponsorship for employment, and we are not set up to support remote employees who reside in New York. In order to be considered for employment, applicants must be currently legally authorized to work in the job location country and not require future sponsorship in order to continue working in that country.

We appreciate your interest in our company. Because of the high volume of resume flow, we may only respond to those candidates that we think will be a potential fit.

–

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. If you would like more information about how your data is processed, please contact us.

Data Analytics Analytics Engineer at Swoon

Owns end-to-end data stack including warehouse, pipelines, BI layer, and AI integration while enabling self-service analytics across the business.

Senior Posted 5 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Swoon is an original, design-led brand using an innovative NPD process to discover the next home trends. We run a lean team on a modern data stack - Snowflake, Airflow, Kleene, DBT and Sigma.

We’re looking for an analytics engineer to own that stack end-to-end: how pipelines get built and maintained, how AI is used within them, how analysis reaches the exec team, and how the wider business self-serves answers.

What we’re looking for:

This is a single-owner technical role. You will own the warehouse, the transformation layer, the orchestration and the analytics surface the business consumes, and you will shape how they evolve. No data team above you to escalate design decisions to. You will partner closely with the commercial, marketing, and operations leads to turn their questions into insight that is actually executable.

That autonomy is the point. You need to be highly self-motivated, comfortable making architecture calls on your own judgement, and willing to fix problems rather than route them.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own the data stack

  • Warehouse & modelling: Own the ELT process end-to-end - modelling, testing, documentation, cost and performance management.
  • Orchestration: Own orchestration and ensure pipelines are reliable, timely, and accurate.
  • Source integration: Maintain and extend extraction and loading from any new source.
  • Data quality: Build the tests and checks that mean decisions aren’t made on broken numbers.

2. Own the analytics stack

  • BI layer strategy: Own the decision on how Swoon delivers analytics. Assess whether our current BI layer is the right long-term solution. You will be expected to recommend Swoon’s BI future with evidence and own the consequences.
  • Self-service: Further improve our self-serve analytics for our non-technical colleagues across commercial, operations and marketing to get answers without routing every question through you.

3. Drive AI adoption

  • AI in the data workflow: Use AI tooling to compress the cost of analysis, transformation development, documentation and QA. Review the current standard and where it can’t be trusted.

  • AI enablement across the business: Work with function leads to identify where AI removes manual work - ops reconciliation, customer service triage, content generation, supplier admin - and build or specify the tooling. You are the technical enabler.

  • Track record: Demonstrable experience building and running a production analytics stack. Strong SQL and Python skills, plus Snowflake and orchestration (Airflow or equivalent).

  • AI fluency: Hands-on experience using AI tools in a real workflow.

  • Self-direction: You set your own roadmap, prioritise against commercial impact, and deliver without supervision.

  • Communication: You can explain a technical constraint to a non-technical stakeholder and push back on a bad request without damaging the relationship.

Compensation

  • Competitive salary
  • Share options programme
  • Profit share scheme
  • Wellbeing allowance
  • Generous pension scheme
  • Private medical cover for you and your family

Holidays, working environment and other perks

  • 27 days holiday rising to 30 with tenure

  • Friends & family discount of 20%
  • Fully remote working
  • Frequent meet-ups, in-person workshops and socials
